Our highly experienced trainers are able to identify the qualities in each dog early to ensure that the best behaviours are developed and shaped. Our ultimate aim is to provide you with a well-balanced, confident and trustworthy dog.

Meet The Founders
Garry
Garry is the owner of Ambassador Protection Dogs. He has kept German Shepherds for over thirty years but has a keen interest in a variety of breeds, and currently has seven different breeds of dog as pets. Garry has run successful businesses his entire adult life and brings business acumen to this venture.
“To combine my passion for dogs with my understanding of a successful business has been my ambition for many years. I have purchased dogs previously with no idea of their background. My vision has always been to be able to bridge the gap between owning a great dog together with the whole journey.”
Phillipa
Phillipa has always had a keen interest in equine practices. Phillipa’s passion is now dogs due to the huge part dogs play in Garry’s life. For the past ten years, Phillippa and Garry have kept numerous dogs in their sprawling farmhouse premises in the Devonshire countryside. “When I met Garry I was initially a bit anxious about big intimidating dogs. Since this venture has begun, I can see that with careful training, big dogs can be controlled, obedient and some of the most affectionate animals I have ever encountered. It’s so important to feel that my children are safe and we can enjoy being around the dogs we own and train. I also feel completely safe and protected when Garry has to go away on business.”
Meet Our Trainers
Kevin
Kevin has worked with dogs for 30 years and regularly competes in trials around the country. He specialises in training dogs in real world protection. He overseas our puppy raising programme ensuring they are prepared for their lives as family guardians
Robbie
Robbie brings an international flavour to our team. Based in holland he helps us source the best dogs from around Europe to put into our various programmes.
Robbie is renowned in the dog sport of igp. He regularly gives training seminars around the world and has competed and judged globally.
Not only do our dogs do all the protection aspects most people expect, with Robbies expertise we incorporate elements of dog sport to enable owners to give their dogs exercise and stimulation in a way that benefits both mentally and physically.

Catherina
Catherina also based in Holland is an accomplished trainer, decoy and animal Physiotherapist.
We are delighted she takes care of our European breeding programme and has helped produce some amazing dogs for sporting owners

Courtney
Courtney overseas the boarding element of the business with the rest of her team and focuses on welfare, exercise, enrichment and cuddles. We only board small numbers of holiday friends ensuring they have just as good a time with us as their owners do on their travels. Courtney loves to see a happy tired dog at the end of the day.
Jade
Jade works with our puppies to give them enrichment and socialisation. In short she creates interesting, challenging scenarios and environments which enhance their natural capabilities.
With superior genetics its left to us to make sure that from birth to leaving for their forever homes they have been given the very best start possible.
We believe the start they are given by us is unrivalled. each pup has a video and picture library throughout its time with us.
